This means that we cannot process data for just any purpose.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Website visitors<br \/>\n<\/strong>The automatic processing of data serves the proper functioning of the website and has as legal basis the (preparation of the) contractual relationship with customers. An additional basis is the legitimate interest that our company has to present itself online with a well-functioning website. We have made the consideration that the interest of a well-functioning website outweighs the infringement made by processing the abovementioned personal data. Data obtained from automatic data processing is processed by our marketing department, and sometimes also by IT. The purpose of this is:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>providing personalized information about our services;<\/li>\n<li>offering the possibility to further contact (for example through an account for our newsletter or promotions of our services).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>People contacting us<br \/>\n<\/strong>The legal basis for processing is the legitimate interest of processing relevant data to enable us to respond to a contact request by phone, post, or email. Data is processed by the service department. The purpose of this is:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>contacting you;<\/li>\n<li>answering a question;<\/li>\n<li>dealing with a complaint.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Customers and suppliers\/subcontractors<br \/>\n<\/strong>The legal basis for processing is our contractual relationship with customers or suppliers and the preparations thereto. For this reason, this data is processed by our marketing, sales, and finance departments. The purpose of this is:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>providing you with services and\/or products;<\/li>\n<li>making promotional offers for services;<\/li>\n<li>adjusting the execution of our services to your needs;<\/li>\n<li>sending you our newsletter or invitations to events;<\/li>\n<li>sending an invoice and processing your payment;<\/li>\n<li>complying with our administrative obligations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Employees<br \/>\n<\/strong>There is a contractual basis for the processing of personal data of employees, irrespective of whether they are engaged on a permanent or a temporary basis, of as interns. For payroll processing there is also a legal basis. Data are processed by the departments HR and Finance. The purpose is:<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>entering into an employment contract with you;<\/li>\n<li>contacting you;<\/li>\n<li>managing tasks and authorities;<\/li>\n<li>performing payroll and other administrative obligations;<\/li>\n<li>paying salary.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job applicants<br \/>\n<\/strong>In case of job applications, the legal basis is the potential working relationship. Data is processed by our HR department and the department representatives involved. The purpose of this is:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>contacting you;<\/li>\n<li>making an initial selection based on the personal data provided by you.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Visitors<br \/>\n<\/strong>The legal basis is the legitimate interest that our company has in maintaining a well-secured data center. We have made the consideration that the interests of maintaining a well-secured data center outweigh the infringement made by processing the abovementioned personal data. Data obtained by visitors is processed by our security department, and partially by the inviting party, sometimes also IT. The purpose of this is:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>providing secured access to the data center.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"h2 d-block\">Security<\/span><\/p>\n<p>We ensure adequate organizational and technical security measures. This means that we pay attention to new developments and adjust our security measures accordingly where necessary.<\/p>\n<p>Security is an important part of our service. We use pseudonymization and encrypt your data, particularly biometrical data that is required for authentication or security purposes in providing access to our data centers.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"h2 d-block\">Retention periods<\/span><\/p>\n<p>We retain processed personal data no longer than required for the purpose of the data processing. We only retain data longer when this is mandatory based on a legal retention period such as the Archives Act.<\/p>\n<p>In concrete terms this means:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Data center access data: 6 months<\/li>\n<li>CCTV footage: 1 month<\/li>\n<li>Biometrical data: only up to end of contract and end of authorization<\/li>\n<li>Job application data: 4 weeks (or, if you have granted permission, up to 1 year)<\/li>\n<li>Cookies: between 8 and 14 months (depending on the type of cookie)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"h2 d-block\">Processing by third parties<\/span><\/p>\n<p>We do not provide your personal data to third parties except as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We share your personal data with other entities in our group, including our subsidiaries in German, as necessary for our services.<\/li>\n<li>We only provide your personal data to our subcontractors, suppliers or other third parties (sub-processors) insofar as they need them for their services to us. This is only upon written instructions from NorthC. We require the third party to adhere to appropriate security measures to protect your personal data.<\/li>\n<li>We do not sell your personal data to third parties for their marketing purposes without your explicit permission.<\/li>\n<li>In exceptional cases, personal data may be disclosed to authorized government authorities on the basis of a legal obligation, or when necessary for the vital interests of NorthC, its employees, clients or the public.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"h2 d-block\">Location<\/span><\/p>\n<p>NorthC stores personal data within the Netherlands.
