In this role, he will be responsible for the business-critical infrastructure of NorthC\u2019s data centers, including facility expansions and the construction of new facilities. His core responsibilities will also include identifying new technologies to support the company\u2019s continued growth strategy, as well as further implementing NorthC\u2019s sustainability strategy. Van den Bosch has served as Group Director Projects at NorthC from February 2023.<\/p>\n

Ronald van den Bosch, CTO NorthC:<\/strong> \u201cI look forward to being part of the NorthC Leadership Team as CTO, and to help execute the company\u2019s growth strategy. My focus will be on the technological development of the infrastructure in both existing and new data centers, as well as driving the company\u2019s sustainability efforts. NorthC aims to be CO2-neutral by 2030, and we\u2019re well on track to meet that goal. Over the coming years, we will take further steps, for instance by implementing systems for exchanging residual heat and by optimizing the energy efficiency of our cooling systems. However, sustainability is a complex issue that we cannot solve by ourselves. That\u2019s why we continually seek collaboration with both public and private partners.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alexandra Schless, CEO of NorthC:<\/strong> \u201cRonald is the right person to help NorthC take the next steps in sustainability and in improving the efficiency of our data centers. The demand for regional data center services in Northwestern Europe is growing swiftly. NorthC is meeting that demand, for example with the recent acquisition of six data centers from Colt in the Netherlands and in Germany<\/a>. To manage this growth in a responsible way, we will continue to invest and innovate, and we have an outstanding team of highly dedicated professionals to make our projects a success. This allows us to continue offering our customers high-quality and sustainable data center services.\u201d<\/p>\n

Before joining NorthC in 2022, Van den Bosch held various management roles at ING, including Product Owner Data Centre \u2013 Centre of Excellence and Manager Maintenance & Projects Facilities Data Centres. He also served as Senior Project Manager Mission Critical at Royal Haskoning and was a long-time volunteer editor and committee member for data center standards at NEN, the Royal Netherlands Standardization Institute, where he contributed to the EN50600 standard, among others.<\/p>\n

Ronald van den Bosch holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Business Process Management and IT, and is an Accredited Operations Specialist and Certified DC Manager Professional.<\/p>\n
