The NorthC group is organized on a country basis with management teams responsible for the Dutch, German and Swiss operations respectively. The group leadership team is based in the Netherlands and consists of a CEO, CFO, CTO, MD Netherlands, MD DACH and General Counsel. The group’s general counsel is based in the Netherlands and oversees all legal matters of the group.

Responsibilities

In view of the expansion of NorthC’s activities it is looking to hire a legal counsel for the DACH region. The main activities in which the legal counsel will be involved include commercial contracts (in particular negotiation regarding master service agreements with customers), assisting the sales team with procurement projects, agreements with general contractors and other parties involved in the construction of new data centers and the refurbishment of existing data centers, regulatory matters, material supplier contracts, compliance related matters and corporate housekeeping matters.

Capabilities

8 years of experience or more;
professional background in a law firm or an inhouse position;
ideally, experience with data center related legal matters;
being able to apply legal matters in a practical and business friendly manner;
strong communication skills (verbal and in writing) in German and English;
project management skills and applying a structured approach to matters.

The legal counsel will report to the general counsel in the Netherlands and will be based in Frankfurt and form part of the German management team.

The position is foreseen to be fulfilled on a part-time basis with a possible expansion to full-time if combined with legal work for the Netherlands business. NorthC is open to discuss agile and flexible working arrangements.

NorthC Deutschland GmbH is expanding rapidly

NorthC acquires six data centers from Colt Technology Services in Germany and the Netherlands. The transaction includes data centers in key metropolitan regions such as Frankfurt, Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Düsseldorf, and Amsterdam. Together, the facilities offer a total power capacity of over 25 MW. As part of the agreement, Colt and NorthC have entered into a long-term partnership, with Colt remaining a key customer in the data centers being acquired.

In addition, two more data centers are currently in the planning and construction phase in Frankfurt (Neu-Isenburg) and Berlin. These facilities are being built from the ground up.
