The IT Manager is responsible for steering and managing the IT landscape in our data centers, ensuring the delivery of optimal IT services. The role involves executing IT strategy, managing the IT team in the Germany, managing IT resources, ensuring data security and driving technological innovation across the organization.

This position reports to the Director of Operations in Germany and you will be an adjunct member of the leadership group. You also will have a strong collaboration with the Sr. Director of IT for the NorthC Group.

Your Key Responsibilities

Data Security: Ensure robust security measures and compliance with industry standards
Infrastructure Management: Oversee design, implementation, and maintenance of data center systems for performance and reliability.
Vendor Management: Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service levels.
Disaster Recovery: Maintain business continuity and recovery plans.
Budgeting: Develop and manage departmental budgets effectively.

Together with the Sr. Director of IT you will focus on innovation and identify and implement emerging technologies to enhance IT efficiency and capabilities.

This is you

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
10+ years of relevant experience, preferably within the data center or IT Industry.
Knowledge of building, electrical and security monitoring systems.
Strong team management skills and strong communication in German and English languages.
Hands-on mentality, proactive and lead-by-example attitude.
Ability to perform effectively under pressure; strong analytical, decision-making and quality control skills.

NorthC Deutschland GmbH is expanding rapidly

NorthC acquires six data centers from Colt Technology Services in Germany and the Netherlands. The transaction includes data centers in key metropolitan regions such as Frankfurt, Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Düsseldorf, and Amsterdam. Together, the facilities offer a total power capacity of over 25 MW. As part of the agreement, Colt and NorthC have entered into a long-term partnership, with Colt remaining a key customer in the data centers being acquired.

In addition, two more data centers are currently in the planning and construction phase in Frankfurt (Neu-Isenburg) and Berlin. These facilities are being built from the ground up.
