NorthC appoints Patrik Hofer as managing director NorthC Schweiz AG

Patrik Hofer has been appointed as the new managing director of NorthC Schweiz AG, effective 1 August 2023. Recently, NorthC Group acquired its fourth regional data center in the Zurich region (Winterthur), as part of its growth strategy for the Benelux and DACH regions. Frank Zachmann, who was temporarily responsible for Switzerland, will now focus on his task as managing director of the entire DACH region.

Patrik Hofer (59) has worked in the telecom/IT & network industry for over 35 years, the last 25 years in management functions. Most recently he was CIO and Head of Operations at internet and data center provider Green. In this position, he was responsible for planning, managing and developing the IT/network team and for automating and digitising the company’s core processes. Before that, the business economics graduate worked in various management positions and areas: “Over the course of my career, I gained experience in key account management, marketing, sales and IT & network operation management. All of this led me to my current position as managing director of NorthC Schweiz AG,” says Patrik Hofer.

NorthC Group continues its expansion strategy
“We are very pleased that we’ve been able to attract Patrik Hofer as managing director for Switzerland,” says Alexandra Schless, CEO of NorthC Group. “As he has previously been responsible for several business units at other companies, he is the right person to lead our organisation in Switzerland. In doing so, we benefit from his expertise and his extensive regional and international know-how.”

In July, NorthC Group announced the acquisition of a fourth Swiss data center, in the Zurich region (Winterthur). More acquisitions are expected to follow. The expansion plans were a key reason for Hofer to join NorthC Schweiz AG: “I will have the opportunity to take on overall responsibility and use my extensive experience to expand NorthC Schweiz AG further,” concludes Hofer.
