We make use of marketing cookies (also known as ‘tracking cookies’) to track visitors of our website when they visit other websites. The purpose of these cookies is to provide the visitor of different websites with advertisements that have been tailored to the preferences and interests of the visitor.
We also allow so-called ‘third party cookies’. These are marketing cookies of a third party, particularly the social network service LinkedIn. LinkedIn can use these cookies and the information collected by them for its own purposes. Although we carefully select such third parties, we do not carry responsibility for the way in which they handle your data. In this respect we would like to refer you to the LinkedIn privacy policy. The marketing cookies are placed and read by the respective provider.
Apart from this, we use software services to collect information on the behaviour of visitors to our website. As stated, you can turn off marketing cookies and thus these software services.
Below please find more information on Act-On and LinkedIn.
Act-On
NorthC uses the Act-On application to carry out growth marketing campaigns. For these campaigns Act-On works with so-called ‘beacons’. These are small signal transmitters within the Act-On app that detect where visitors of the website are surfing to. Based on this information, it can be determined which are the most frequently visited pages. Beacons also permit individualized forms or offers to be sent to person. In principle, this information cannot be traced back to a person. However, combination with data from other sources could pose a risk of traceability to an individual. For more information about Act-On cookies and beacons, click here.
LinkedIn
NorthC occasionally uses LinkedIn for so-called lead generation campaigns. Via the Linkedin campaign manager portal we get access to an overview with email addresses of LinkedIn users. These contacts are downloaded via an API link or by manual download via an Excel file and imported into Act-On for further processing. In case of manual download, the excel list will be deleted after import of the contacts into Act-On. You will find further information about LinkedIn cookies here.
