NorthC Group has appointed Ronald van den Bosch as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). In this role, he will be responsible for the business-critical infrastructure of NorthC’s data centers, including facility expansions and the construction of new facilities. His core responsibilities will also include identifying new technologies to support the company’s continued growth strategy, as well as further implementing NorthC’s sustainability strategy. Van den Bosch has served as Group Director Projects at NorthC from February 2023.
Ronald van den Bosch, CTO NorthC: “I look forward to being part of the NorthC Leadership Team as CTO, and to help execute the company’s growth strategy. My focus will be on the technological development of the infrastructure in both existing and new data centers, as well as driving the company’s sustainability efforts. NorthC aims to be CO2-neutral by 2030, and we’re well on track to meet that goal. Over the coming years, we will take further steps, for instance by implementing systems for exchanging residual heat and by optimizing the energy efficiency of our cooling systems. However, sustainability is a complex issue that we cannot solve by ourselves. That’s why we continually seek collaboration with both public and private partners.”

Before joining NorthC in 2022, Van den Bosch held various management roles at ING, including Product Owner Data Centre – Centre of Excellence and Manager Maintenance & Projects Facilities Data Centres. He also served as Senior Project Manager Mission Critical at Royal Haskoning and was a long-time volunteer editor and committee member for data center standards at NEN, the Royal Netherlands Standardization Institute, where he contributed to the EN50600 standard, among others.
Ronald van den Bosch holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Business Process Management and IT, and is an Accredited Operations Specialist and Certified DC Manager Professional.
