Sales Operations Manager Europe

We are seeking a Sales Operations Manager for our European organisation to help drive our revenue growth ambitions by optimizing and streamlining our sales processes and creating key sales revenue insights.

Role

The Sales Operation Manager play a pivotal role in optimizing and streamlining our sales processes (efficient tooling landscape and associated workflows) to drive efficiency, effectiveness, and revenue growth.

He/she focuses on the further development / optimisation of automated solutions and ensures transparent reporting of the relevant KPIs.

As a team player, the Sales Operations Manager operates intensively together with the Sales department (Account Managers/Customer Success Managers) and the Operations department as well as with external parties in continuously monitoring, optimising and to develop strategies, innovating our sales processes, implement best practices, and leverage technology to support the profitable growth of our company..
You will report into the Chief Finance Officer. This places you at the forefront of enabling NorthC’s international growth ambitions. You work closely together with the Sales Operations Managers in the countries (currently Netherlands, DACH region), where they have a dotted reporting line into you. You guide them from a functional and group framework perspective.

Activities include:

Supporting the go-to market strategy: 

  • Create sales performance analysis in order to make data driven decisions for the go-to-market strategy
  • Design and produce pipeline reporting and sales forecasts

Sales Process Optimization:

  • Monitor pipeline management and order management processes
  • Monitoring sales processes
  • Analyse existing sales processes, identify bottlenecks, and propose and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Ensuring the reporting / analysis capabilities of the Sales & Marketing department and the neighbouring interfaces to the other departments (Operations and General & Administration)
  • Design, document, and implement sales processes, guidelines, and standards to ensure consistency across the sales team
  • Active support with internal & external audits

Sales Analytics and Reporting:

  • Create dashboards to steer the business
  • Prepare Sales pipeline analyses for senior management
  • Tracking, monitoring and reporting of relevant business processes from start to finish (Lead to Cash)
  • Ensuring a transparent and seamless status of master data to enable automation
  • Develop and maintain sales performance metrics, dashboards, and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights
  • Conduct regular analysis of sales data to identify trends, forecast sales performance, and recommend strategies for improvement
  • Present findings and recommendations to sales leadership to drive informed decision-making
  • Leads the revenue re-forecasts as part of the overall P&L re-forecast on a quarterly basis

Sales Tools Management:

  • Ensuring basic hygiene of Salesforce and addressing sales accordingly
  • Evaluate, implement, and administer sales productivity tools (CRM, sales automation, analytics platforms, etc.) to support the sales team’s needs
  • Work with stakeholders to automate workflows and integrate tools to streamline sales operations
  • Coordination & execution of requirements creation (e.g. for Salesforce), review and testing
  • Provide training and support to sales representatives on the effective use of sales tools and technologies. For example on the introduction of new systems or major workflow changes

Cross-Country and Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Build and guide the Sales Operations team across countries
  • Liaise with other departments such as marketing, finance, and operations to ensure alignment and collaboration on sales-related initiatives

Your Competencies and Experience

Background:

  • Bachelor/ University degree in Business, Economics or equivalent
  • Proven experience in sales operations, sales enablement, or a related field, preferably within the technology or SaaS industry
  • International experience

Professional skills:

  • Salesforce experience is a must
  • Experience with pipeline management and sales processes
  • Experience with setting up dashboards and analyses
  • Strong communication skills in English

Soft skills:

  • People sensitive and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead foster collaboration in a cross-functional or cross-departmental team, and drive results in a dynamic environment
